Welcome to Downton Motor Club
Downton Motor Club is more than just a car club - our heritage can be traced back to the days of the world famous Downton Engineering Works, who were responsible for providing tuning services, preparing race cars and building special engines during the golden age of British motoring.
Throughout the year we also have our own fantastic set of 'Speed' Championships with qualifying events run at major motorsport venues across the country - these championships offer an affordable range of motorsport thrills and all at a reasonable cost.

The 2025 Speed Championship Awards presentation and our Annual General Meeting (AGM) will take place on Friday 28th November at 7:00 pm. The extravaganza will once again be in the private function room at .....

As with previous years, there will be an optional evening meal available with a choice of 2 courses or 3 courses - see the menu below for the list of culinary delights on offer. The Woodfalls Inn is under new management and we think the new menu looks excellent and really good value for money. We anticipate the meal will start at circa 7:30pm.

Please let us know if you are joining us and send your menu choices to secretary-downton-mc@outlook.com - we will then consolidate them and pass on all the orders to the Woodfalls Inn. Payment should be made in advance of the meal to Downton Motor Club - sort code 30-80-89, account number 19765460.
In line with Motorsport UK guidelines we will also be holding a short AGM - the Committee will be asking the membership for feedback and support on a number of initiatives for 2026. If you have any queries or suggestions, then please let us know.
Please support this social event and show your appreciation for all the 2025 trophy winners. The 2025 Speed Championship was once again a very, very successful competition - let's do the same again in 2026.

Looking to try some Motorsport?
Downton Motor Club is synonymous with the name ‘Mini’ and continuing in 2026 we have special classes in our Speed Championships for road legal R50 and R53 BMW Minis (Class 4 and 4A). As these are running in a ‘road legal’ format there are no need for fire extinguishers, cut off switches, roll cages or full harnesses.
We have Downton Classes at 30+ events throughout the year - starting in March and going right through until the end of October. The ‘Speed’ calendar typically includes Sprints at famous circuits like Goodwood, Pembrey, Llandow and spectacular hillclimbs at venues like Wiscombe Park, Shelsley Walsh and Prescott - something for everyone.
