Welcome to Downton Motor Club
Downton Motor Club is more than just a car club - our heritage can be traced back to the days of the world famous Downton Engineering Works, who were responsible for tuning services, preparing race cars and building special engines during the golden age of British motoring. Motorsport is still in our DNA.
Throughout the year we have our own fantastic set of 'Speed' Championships with qualifying events at major motorsport venues across the country - these championship events offer a range of motorsport thrills and all at a reasonable cost.

Championship Positions after Wiscombe Park:
"John Wells has kindly updated the scores following what I hear to be a fantastic weekend's racing at Wiscombe. 14 entries both days which really puts the club on the map with spectators. Some standout results across both days with 5 records broken and new members featuring well.
In class order, Toby Bishop dropped Zak's class 4a record from 44.66 to a stunning 43.99 - only 8/100s behind Derek's class win!
Zak Cobb lowered Steve Jarrett's Class 8 record to 44.28
Matthew Eardley took 6/10s off the Class 11 mark, Nigel Ryan made his mark on Class 11a in the Elise, leaving it at 45.91 and Harry Whitehead took a huge 4.4s off the Class 12b record with a 46.54 climb on the Sunday.
Huge congratulations to all"
